Combining an iPhone case and a wallet isn’t as easy as it sounds so Mujjo have taken a simpler approach with their Slim Fit iPhone case in leather.  Finally a wallet case where the credit card holders actually are useful.

Crafted from vegetable tanned leather you can certainly smell it, not in a bad way when you drop the case out from it;s packaging.  It;s still good to see that iPhone case manufactures find creative ways to package things without using tonnes of non recyclable plastics.

That being sure I’m not sure if it’s a touch overkill for their to be a hessian bag, albeit nice to be included but that seems to be the trend and perhaps this is’t going to be a daily use iPhone case for some.

Construction

Mujjo’s Slim Leather iPhone case is embodies simple yet effective case design constructed from a single finished piece of vegetable tanned leather and just one lot of stiching to keep things together.  Looking at the thickness of the leather and the quality of the stiching, this isn’t a case which is going to come apart any time soon.

Finally. Credit card slots you can actually use

Many cases add a credit card holder as part of the design but never seem to actually test them.  Many times we’ve reviewed iPhone cases with card slots but almost always are impossibly tight and even if you’ve managed to get a card in, taking it out is a whole other challenge.

On the outside of the case everything is like how you would expect it to feel, leathery, soft and is no doubt going to look gorgeous as it will age with time and use, that’s the beauty of leather Only having it for a few days I can’t comment on how taught the Mujjo case will remain after a sustained period of usage.

Width and grip

Mujjo’s packaging makes the case look bigger than it really is yet thickness wise it does come in at a nice size. When compared to other cases it might not have protective padding but that leather is going to stop scratches nicely.

Back when EssentialApple started we did things different and did our very first “shake test” with the MacAlly Magstand.  Seems just as good a time as any to do the same test on the Mujjo case.

(Promise there will be a better video up soon) Believe me there was a whole lot of shakin goin on. (a prize for who can name the song those lyrics came from)

As you can see Mujjo’s iPhone case offering maintains a nice, tight enough grip to stop your iPhone and accidentally flying out and hitting the deck yet it isn’t so tight that it makes it a chore to access your phone.

Aside from the opening at the top of the case your phone is completely covered which does present one slight potential drawback. There is no headphones or lightning socket opening at the bottom part of the case meaning that if you want to use this case and use your headphones you have to keep the ports at the top which means potentially exposing to the elements.

Overall thoughts
A simple design exquisitely made
