It’s confusing since the heart is so visible, but “loving” only improves the “For You” section of Apple Music. To get to “Play more like this” you need to hit the “…” next to the track name, which will actually improve the quality of the radio station.

iTunes 12.2 launched a day or so later than most people on the internet would of liked, perhaps singalling an approach to mobile first desktop second, or perhaps apple plain and simple bodged the launch.

On first listening to Beats Radio right next to the title track is a heart. Was I really the only one to think thats an excellent way to tag a track whilst playing?

Turns out I was mistaken. Pressing the hearts whilst listening to a track on Beats 1 Radio only adjusts the “for you”

 Loving a radio track does not improve the radio station algorithm. Use Play more like this instead

To get to “Play more like this” you need to hit the “…” next to the track name, which will actually improve the quality of the radio station.
