Review – Bartending : Memoirs of an Apple Genius (what life at Apple is really like)

Bartending : Memoirs of an Apple Genius promises to give an insiders look as to what life is like behind the glass panelled buildings of Apple from the perspective of Stephen, an ex genius bar apple staffer, who’s written a book on working the front line. I’m taking a sneak peek at a few chapters now and it’s an insightful look. There’s not much more I can say yet as I’m under NDA till release date of the 10th April.  Good news everyone the NDA has been lifted so discussion is now allowed.

Justin.Tv HD reviewed : High Def Streams But Missing The Small Details.

At the end of a long day there’s nothing more than I like to do that kickback, relax and switch the brain off by watching the idiot latern (TV). With more repeats on TV than ever I find myself looking to the internet more and more to keep myself entertained without burning a hole in my pocket with iTunes series links. Reality TV has never been my thing but Justin.TV / Twitch.TV takes this to a new level with games casting alongside chat interaction with the caster.

Jetpack Joyride For iOS

JetPack Joyride : Theres addictive and then there’s JetPack Joyride

JetPack Joyride, quite simply put is almost the most fun you can have using a single digit and with a lead character called Barry, why are you still reading this and not downloading it right now?  Gameplay is beyond simple and yet utterly compelling.  Barry Steakfries is propelled into the sky with his machine gun get pack in a perpetually side scrolling affair with a simple aim of getting to the end… if there is one.

AOTD : Image Bucket 1.7.4 The Usefull batch image convertor with watermarking

One of the most time consuming parts of blogging can be pictures.  More often than not there is need to perform bulk actions on a range of images.  You have no idea how tedious it can be taking your photos for your blog and having to, one by one, manually resize them into something more manageable.  This takes time and to say it’s a tedious task is an understatement.  So when we came across Image Bucket we were ecstatic.

Samson Meteor Mic Image 1

Review : Samson Meteor Mic – USB Microphone with Great Retro styling

Doing a podcast is something that we’ve wanted to do here at EssentialMac for a while now but had a feeling that recording audio from the iPhone headset that’s bundled with the device or via the in built microphone wasn’t going to be the best way to go about it.

When the Samson Samson Meteor Mic dropped on the door mate for review it grabbed our attention and we hoped this wasn’t all style over substance. But let’s face it, it’s a little beauty.

Minco - Introduction Screen

Review : Minco 1.3. A Simple Yet PowerFull Time Tracker

A cluttered interface is something I can’t really stand for despite the fact that we desperately need an actual quarantine zone my office workplace on the grounds of health and safety.

Quite often my day finds me flitting from task to task and quite often leads to moments of panic when I try to work out just exactly how long I have been working on a particular clients project. So I was incredibly grateful when I came across Minco.

Sony DR-EX300iP Headphones

Sony DR-EX300iP In-Ear With Remote & Mic Worse than Stock Apple Headphones

I’m not overly fussy or picky when it comes to technology but I do like to do a bit of research first, especially something that I use all the time.  For example I wont purchase a cheap mouse or keyboard because “it’ll do” as that just stupid and headphones are no exception.  Finding these Sony DR-EX300iP heaphones and checking out their 4 and 5 star review you’d think it’s a no brainer and for someone like me needing, no craving some better phones for iPhone I bought a set of these Sony DR-EX300iP with high hopes.
