The UK’s Sunday Times published a massive, five-page interview with Apple SVP of Design Jonathan Ive today that takes a look at the history and future of Apple from the perspective of the man who designed some of the most iconic devices of the past decade.
The BBC’s Blue Peter programme has honored Apple’s design chief Sir Jonathan Ive with its highest accolade – the gold Blue Peter badge. One of the highest accolades out there and Ive genuinely looks thrilled to have one. Full article over at the BBC website
Jonathan Ive, Apple’s head of design, has been awarded a knighthood in the New Year Honours list.
Mr Ive, who can now style himself Sir Jonathan, has been made a Knight Commander of the British Empire (KBE).
Raised in Chingford, Mr Ive began working for Apple in 1992 and since then has been the brains behind many of its products.
He described the honour as “absolutely thrilling” and said he was “both humbled and sincerely grateful”.
