by At WWDC 2015, Apple announced that Apple Pay will launch in the UK in July 2015 and a number of banks have already been confirmed as launch partners for the service which will be available in the soon-to-be renamed Wallet app, which is currently called ‘Passbook’.
The service will only be available on the latest Apple devices, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+ due to the NFC and fingerprint requirements. The service will also work with the new Apple Watch.

Halifax: A statement from owner Lloyds group says it expects to launch the service for its customers in autumn.
