That new shiny M7 processor is finding its way into more and more apps and now Day 1 the popular life journal / blogging app also supports M7 along with other feature in its iOS 7 make over.
Day 1 Motion Activity
Day one now uses the m7 processor , pulling motion data at the time you create your new blog post. It doesn’t continue to update as you create or edit, instead you have to create a new post and it’ll then show the updated steps taken.
Earlier on in the Day I created a entry showing 3000 steps. My next post later on in the day showed 6000 steps. At least it’s easy enough to work out how far you’ve gone with one figure minus the other.
This kind of makes sense in some ways as it’s taking a snapshot and post of that moment rather than being a full tracking type app.
Confusingly when you tap the activity icon it does show a real-time updates but yet it won’t update the post.
Supports Now Playing.
Another new addition is to insert the title of the song you might be listening to on your iPhone.
Day 1 has managed to add some nice feature sets but not throwing things in for the sake of it with this new update. Sharing posts or your general musings gets some welcome edition including exporting to a Pdf format.
