“Believe it or not, we started work on the iPlayer radio app for Android on the same day as the one for the iPhone, but we’re still resolving a number of issues. Background audio, for example. When you leave the app you want the Today programme to keep on running. That worked out of the box on Apple, but not on Android, and we’re just getting there now.

Logitech easy switch keyboard, Wireless Backlit Keyboard and Trackpad for Mac

Cables are the bane of anyone’s desk. The darn mouse cable gets snagged, keyboard cables can end up pulling and is by far and away removed from my dream of a clear and in cluttered desk.  The wireless keyboard and mouse offerings from Apple looks stunning but a barely adequate in terms of features.  Although I’ve the apple trackpad it somehow feels old due to using pesky AA batteries which as we all know run out at just the wrong time.Seeing little on the horizon from apple, Logitech are se to release their own wireless keyboard and track pad which both support USB charging.

Irish government dropping BlackBerry, buying iPads

The recommended iPad model will be the 32GB iPad with Wi-Fi and cellular, which costs €739 on the Apple Store.  Senators have been advised they should no longer purchase a BlackBerry device if they wish to access Oireachtas email.  – Blackberry are due to release BB10 in 2013 and this will come as another blow to them (siliconrepublic.com)

Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition

Calling all BatFans, Arkham City may have been out on the PC and consoles for the best part of 8 months at the time of writing but with the Mac version you get all the released DLC content. I’ve streamed myself playing this on Twitch.tv for more hours than I care to remember. An amazing narrative and a killer ending that you have to see. Batman: Arkham City is a 10gb download from the App store.

Leaked References To Microsoft Office Mobile for iPhone and iPad Removed

Everyone’s been quick to jump on to this rumor but not so keen on doing a bit of follow up. The web was ablaze with articles posting about support tags over on the French microsoft support site which included References to ‘Office Mobile for iPhone’, ‘Excel for iPad’ and ‘PowerPoint for iPad’ These have all now been removed.  So was it a leak or a genuine mistake and why the french support site?
