Every man and his dog seems to be posting iPad mini news so we thought we’d jump on that bandwagon as well, especially since it seems October 23 2012 will be iPad mini release day. The thing is for all those “wanting” the mini, has anyone used the Nexus 7 to get a feel for the form factor and practicality?  I have my first Android tablet now and I’m mixed on the size, why would I want to do tasks on a smaller screen if I’m going to the hassle of pulling it out of my tech bag?

Today’s “interesting read” comes courtesy of Shanghai Evening Post, which has been translated into English by MIC Gadget, where a chinese reporter manages to get inside the walls of Foxconn, getting to spend time working on the iPhone 5 production line and living on site.  Working 12 hour days at a breakneck pace all to deliver those iDevices but the timing of this article does make you wonder.  Timed to perfection wouldn’t you say with the Apple announcement later today?

4G EE and 4GEE Officially Available in 12 Cities Today

 

More details are spilling out on the official day that the UK get’s it’s very of 4G network.  Four UK cities – London, Birmingham, Bristol and Cardiff – had their 4G signals switched on today with another 12 ready to offer.  Also announced are the official handsets which are ready for launch day but no mention of the iPhone 5.  The iPhone 5 is officially supported and will be ready for EE launch.

EE will also launch superfast 4G mobile and fixed-line fibre broadband services in the coming weeks. It will also offer standard broadband via ADSL in non-fibre areas.
