iPhone 5 screen size comparison.

Recapping, you can’t claim originality on rectangles, blank square or general design trade dress between items because those designs are “obvious”. So I guess that means Microsoft definitely isn’t copying Apple store with the blue top, white lanyard style becuase that’s also an obvious design. Source: Microsoft Store
An interesting read here from a Times columnist about moving into a post pc future and just how well the iPad copes with being a content creation tool. I personally fall into the consumption role and not using the iPad no where near as much as should for blogging, ideas etc.
When this case arrived in the EssentialMac plaza (shack by the sea) initially it was met with a sigh by my co-workers. Yet another case lands on the doormat do we review it, write back with a thanks but no thanks but this one was different. It’s clear that Noreve are out to live up to haute couture stylings and deliver something a little bit special from the moment you open the box up.

I’ve always said that if you want to reduce online show pirating reduce that time between a shows first airing and shows being available online in different countries. BBC have just announced that Dr Who will be available to Australia just mere seconds after the showing in the UK. You want to stop people torrenting shows? Make sure that theres no need to..

A fantastic simple Tumblr photo collection showing from Nicklas Lind showing how blantantly how Samsung likes to take idea from Apple. No matter what side of the fence you lay on, the evidence is pretty compelling. My favourite is the phone charger. Source (Nickazilla)
still very applicable here…
A – Approach the customer
P – Probe (lol!) for what the customer needs
P – Position a solution
L – Listen to any objections
E – End with a fond farewell.

Pre orders have been stopped and google have said they will be fulfilling all pre orders for the Nexus Q for free citing the fact it needs to be Android powered and a lack of functionality.
Being an underwhelming device despite the massive hoo haa upon release it did seem expensive for what it was, limited and never really capturing the imagination of developers. How does this make you feel, in a day of polished presentations and delivery do you feel that google should of perhaps thought this through more before delivery?

I’ve come to realise I’m one of those people who have a slightly OCD to keep their iPhone in it’s best conditions possible. The slightest dink or blemish on my gear and somehow that’s all I can see when I look at my idevice which seems to get disproportionally bigger with each glance. As much as I try to place my phone down on my desk with care, occasionally in a rush, not as much care is taken as should be. This leads me nicely onto the MacAlly L-Dock which is a portable, Foldable iPhone Synch / Charging Dock.

“Use your stylus as a laser pointer when presenting. Color your content and erase your mistakes with ease.”
Laser pointer. Way to go Microsoft.
Whoops, something went wrong with the Yell Us! Contact form. We love hearing from people / companies / communities / kittens or indeed anyone. We’re always on the lookout for news, items to reviews or simply ideas for content so if you’re a software company, one man band or just someone who want’s to say hello, drop us a line and we promise to cut back on the use of comma’s in our posts.
It might be a little pointless writing an article that you might not see but this is to let everyone know… we are moving hosts over the weekend. This means DNS changes and some rather big data shifting. So over the weekend you might not be able to access EssentialMac but rest assured we’re pushing this along just as fast as we can.
