Fair to say that the PC release of Batman: Arkham Knight was nothing shortly of shambolic. Issues from day 1 including poor frame rates, buggy game play and well basically a mess. So it’s no surprise to hear that Batman: Arkham Knight wont be released on the Mac after all
“We are very sorry that many of our customers continue to be unhappy with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight,”
said Warner Bros in a statement on the Steam Community.
Things were so bad that Warner decided to extend the refund period until 2016, regardless of play time.
The news was announced in a Steam post, and while no official reason was given, it’s probably for the best when you consider the dodgy PC version.
Fans who pre-ordered the game for Mac or Linux can apply for a refund by contacting Steam.
At least we can take solace in the fact that at one point it was going to come to the Mac platform, even if a little late and even if we are lacking a few AAA titles right now.
On a side note we have been looking at ways to give a Mac mini or 2012 iMac a little more oomph in the graphics department using a eternally housed graphics card and thunderbolt enclosure.
