YouView Finally Get’s Netflix.

My biggest review ever was the Humax Youview box lead by a consortium way back then.  It’s online offerings were slim but that has improved and finally has reached a pinnacle of netflix now being available on YouView.

On it’s first release YouView’s on demand offerings were limited to this and I dinged the review score for being so limited.  Times have moved on thankfully.

and now it’s become quite substancial to a point to include
BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD, Demand 5, STV Player (Scotland only), milkshake!, UKTV, S4C, Quest and now Netflix*  Netflix is limited to BT customers or those who’ve purchased their box outright. In other words those who have boxes from the likes of Talk Talk will have to wait a touch longer.

I can attest my love for Netflix as my binge watching has so far conquered Battlestar Galattica, Lost (last seasons), Netflix originals such as BoJack Horseman, Orange is the new black, the rather excellent Breaking Bad and the rather spankingly good Parks And Recreation.

It’s inevtiable that YouView had to make this move but you cant help that it’s been forced more than a welcome move.  Sky have their own NowTV box, Google Chrome, airplay offerings have narrowed down the unique selling point of this box

After having my YouView box for a couple of years now and many software updates it is a decent experience yet that darn remote control still bugs me each and every time I use it.
