Before breaking out a full review for this we’re taking our time to play through it to get a feel for the game. So far our thoughts are… Well as much as we are fans of the Dark Knight this is simply lacking after the detailed and expansive game play of it;s console and big screen counterparts.

Those, like me, who don’t think of it as an on rails, semi quick time event based game play. You don’t get to explore the scenery as the plot and game drives you in the right direction. If you are looking for the big experience like Arkham city your’e relegated to Consoles and PC only at the moment.
Combat is a question of swiping, combos and quick fingers to counter enemies and then tapping parts of enemy to do impressive combos.
The Upsides.
It’s Batman done in proper, gritty glory.
Plenty of extra content like comics, wall papers and batmen from different era’s.
The Downsides.
Cut scenes, as gorgeous and well animated as they are, are un-skippable. Meaning if you struggle on a few levels it’s a case of sitting through them all. It end’s up becoming more frustrating than the game itself.
Voice Acting
There is the odd sound bite form those voice actors in the Batman Triple A rated titles but it’s sparse. The game makes up for this with animations of head nodding and gestures which leaves the game feeling voices were supposed to be there but aren’t.
Batman Arkham City is available on both iPhone and iPad. Also available Batman Arkham City Lockdown along with Batman Arhkam Origins for iPad
