You Can Now Use Your Canon Camera as a Webcam on Your Mac

Wondering how to use your Canon camera as a webcam on your Mac? Good news, Canon have released their EOS Webcam Utility Beta software for the Mac.

Not every Canon camera will work but there is a compatibility list and with the software being in the beta stages it’s likely more will be added. Be warned tho this is beta software and from my experience, could cause system instability. Also be warned that to install the Canon utility you will have to reboot your Mac,

Video resolutions are limited and during my limited testing time I couldn’t get anywhere near 30fps yet the image looks more than passable during a quick setup and test review.
