Apple’s developer Safari continues, or rather its Safari for developers. Apple an released on update for Safari Technology Preview. Release 3 includes a long list of feature tweaks and updates to JavaScript, CSS, Web APIs, Web Inspector, Accessibility, Rendering, Media, and Networking, plus bug fixes.
Not so long ago the developer from murphysapps.co wrote a small ad blocking, content blocking script using jSON and the effects on the imore.com site were amazing. Taking the page size down from 14mb to 2mb. Much more mobile and data friendly as you’d agree.
Safari in Yosemite been able to pack all the power of the Safari UI into a single bar.

You can now use the Apple Push Notifications Service to send notifications to your website users, right on their Mac desktop. Let’s hope this doesn’t give rise to a new wave of malware or annoyances from malicious websites.
