Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac Icons Looking Blurry After 14.2.4 Update

Microsofts patch For the ever popular office 2011 suite of applications promised are being retina display icons to the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro lines. However after installing the patch you may need to do some additional steps to get retina icons for Microsoft office to display properly.  Here’s how to enable that retina goodness…

Solution to the Office apps still looking blurry on OS X taken

1. Open terminal window
2. Type “touch”
3. Open Finder and navigate to Microsoft Office.
4. Drag and drop an app (like Word) into the terminal window then hit enter.
5. Repeat until you have done Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

And Viola.  Retina icons.
