Apple iWatch and Apple iTVUntitled

Could iWatch actually be the iTV, Apple TV?

Could iWatch actually be the iTV, Apple TV?  It’s plausible if a little far fetched but could iWatch be the code name for the Apple TV.  What if it was a way to throw people off the scent?  Granted we’ve already seen patents pertaining to a watch like device banded about but it would be interesting if this was the case

Search notes with Siri

To create a new note, tell Siri, “Create a new note,” “Make a new note” or something similar. You can give a note a title at the same time, for instance, “Make a new note packing list” or “Create a new note places to visit.” That becomes the first line of the note. To update a note say, for example, “Update my note toothbrush, deodorant, book, tickets, camera.” If you’ve got more than one note, Siri will ask which note you’d like updated by providing a list.

That’s great, but you can also search notes just as easily. Here’s how.

1. Search by date. Activate Siri and say, “Find notes from March, 2013″ or “Find notes from March 7, 2013.” You can also ask, “Find notes from yesterday.”
2. Search by keyword. You can have Siri search your notes for a specific word by saying, “Search notes for ‘x’”, where “x” is the term you’re looking for. Siri returns the results as a tap-able list.

You can also ask Siri to list all your notes. This is much faster than using Apple’s Notes app manually.

Skype for iOS gets updated, new calling experience.

Microsoft has pushed out a new update for the iOS Skype application and it brings along, a new calling experience, the ability to mark your recent chats as read with a few taps, one-to-one chats now appear in the correct order and of course, general fixes and improvements.

For Microsoft, Skype is a pivotal part of the company’s software platform going forward as it looks to position Skype as its premier tool for communication. In addition to standard VOIP calls, Microsoft is also killing off MSN messenger in favor of Skype too.

One bug that is not specifically addressed but we hope to see fixed in the near future is the cross-platform chat synchronization. If you have ever used Skype on a mobile device, then logged into your desktop client, you will experience the annoyance of all of your recent chats being synced with new notifications. We would love to see that process moved to the background and have it be less obtrusive as we move from platform to platform.

Tesco To Launch ClubCardTV.com, Similar To Blinkbox But For Movies

The uk’s biggest supermarket Tesco is to launch a new online video service called ClubCard.TV.  Similar to it’s blinkbox offering, Clubcard.TV will service.  Details are sketchy as right now only beta testers are allowed but we are keeping an ear out on how it might work.  So far we know it’s flash based which is disappointing.

Update.

It’s now out for general release and I’ll be taking a look at it soon

iOS 6.1.2 Update Is Jailbreakable

iOS 6.1.2 Update Is Jailbreakable. Apple has released iOS 6.1.2 update, and as with any new iOS release, a new update sends shivers down the spines of anyone who has jailbroken their iDevice.

The reason for this is simple. Not only will a new update kill the jailbreak, but it could also block the jailbreak.

However, there’s good news for those who have used the Evasi0n jailbreak–the new update can be jailbroken using the same vulnerability. This was confirmed earlier today by one of the developers behind the jailbreak tool.
