38 million Americans ‘shop online on the toilet’

A new survey has claimed that more than 38 million people in America shop while on the toilet.

Initiated by CashStar and Harris Interactive, the poll asked 2,104 people aged at least 18 about where they have conducted online shopping.

From the responses, the survey calculated that around four million Americans have shopped online while driving a vehicle.

Seven million have carried out their shopping while at a grocery store, and nine million while in a business meeting.

CashStar’s CEO stated: “Smartphones and tablets have enabled consumers to shop and gift on-the-go in more ways and places than ever before.”
