Having problems installing the latest seed from Apple for Yosemite 10.10.4 (14E26a). If like me you were stuck in an infiniate loop of it saying “Details have changed” whenver you press restart there is a fix.
So far it looks like this issue is limited to the UK only.
Fix 1. Download Packagages Manually.
You can download the files manually from the internet directly from Apple’s CDN
If you install it this way, you won’t get the firmware update that is supposed to come with it. To get that, replace the filename OSXUpd10.10.4PublicSeed.pkg with FirmwareUpdate.pkg i.e., the firmware update is http://swcdn.apple.com/content/downloads/19/37/031-24173/1icn9z484gkrios866gc8rpnilk4kmj14y/FirmwareUpdate.pkg The directory is the same. Fix 2. Change your DNS settings.
One thing I had noticed was the download was only partially completing before it would prompt for a restart. Head Over to system preferences and change your DNS (make a note of existing settings first of course)
Open up System Preferences
Click Network
Click your active network connection
Click advanced
Click DNS tab
Click the Plus at the Bottom and enter 8.8.8.8 (Googles DNS)
Click OK
Click Apply and close down system preferences panes.
Go back into app updates adn viola the Update Seed 10.10.4 (14E26a) for Yosemite will start installing.
Neither work for me, download links get a 404 and the DNS change still has the show details loop.
