You can download the custom installer from: iosinstaller.com/popcorn-time/ and at this current point in time, it only supports Windows. If you have a Mac, then you might want to sit this one out until the OS X version of the installer is released, or you can ask your Windows-toting buddies for a favor on this one.

Remember that if you are attempting to side load PopcornTime on your iPhone or iPad make a backup.

  1. I tried it on windows 8 with an ios 8.4 iPad. It downloads popcorn time and the app opens but it doesn’t load. It stays stuck on the loading screen.

  2. Hi Bob. Did you try the DNS hack that seems to get around the loading screen problem ? Are you a UK based user?

  3. Success! Worked after several tries. I’m using an iMac and iPhone 5 on iOS 8.3. Using the iOS installer – you have to set the date to something before sep 20 2014, connect the phone to your mac via USB then launch the installer. Your phone screen must be off for the installer to show you the TRUST thingie. Then unlock your phone and press TRUST. It will ask you to put your phone into Airplane mode, after couple of minutes – Success! Popcorn time icon will be on your phone. You can now set the date back to the correct one.
