iOS 6.1.2 Update Is Jailbreakable. Apple has released iOS 6.1.2 update, and as with any new iOS release, a new update sends shivers down the spines of anyone who has jailbroken their iDevice.
The reason for this is simple. Not only will a new update kill the jailbreak, but it could also block the jailbreak.
However, there’s good news for those who have used the Evasi0n jailbreak–the new update can be jailbroken using the same vulnerability. This was confirmed earlier today by one of the developers behind the jailbreak tool.
The scratchgate, rage inciting folks over iFixit have been at it again with their teardowns. If you remember people were up in arms over how hard it was to repair an iPad. Greenpeace were up in arms as was every environmentalist who can spell the word apple. The Surface Pro scores lower in the fixing claims but where is the outrage?
Vodafone UK claims Apple is working on a fix related to 3G connectivity. iOS 6.1 has been out for almost two weeks, so this comes a bit late. But if you’re in either vendor’s service area and you’re using a 4S, it may be a good idea to put off updating for now

Apple strongly cautions against installing any software that hacks iOS. It is also important to note that unauthorized modification of iOS is a violation of iOS end-user license agreement and because of this, Apple may deny service for an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch that has installed any unauthorized software.

It’s a testament that some people might just have more money than sense but that doesn’t stop the enjoyment of watching an iPhone 5 get the microwave treatment. Far more entertaining than scratchgate propoganda.

Gadget Geeks is returning for a 2nd season this January on Sky HD (uk). The last season started well but ended up leaving me cold and really not bothering me if I watched it. For me it’s a show of 3 acts that try to meld together but feel too much like old shows eeking their way back into the mould. Being produced by the same team responsible for “Braniac Science Abuse” you can expect to find things blown up and the same level of production standards.
Time for another update in the Apple v Samsung wars but this time it seems to be a more positive note. Samsung appear to have taken steps to calm down the legal wranglings between both parties by dropping a series of patent infringement suits against its bitter rival in nations across Europe.
