Apple Inc.said on Wednesday morning that downloads of songs from its iTunes store has crossed the 25 billion mark. In a statement, the company said the customer who purchased the 25 billionth song — which it identified as “Monkey Drums” (Goksel Vancin Remix) by Chase Buch — will receive an iTunes gift card worth 10,000 euros. Eddie Cue, who runs the iTunes business for Apple, said the store averages more than 15,000 songs downloaded per minute. Apple shares were last trading up 1.3% at $464.
