A couple of weeks ago Netflix changed it’s Android offering of Netflix to hard encode it’s own DNS settings.  This mean that even if you used UnoTelly or HideIPVPN to access content that;s not available in your country it would no longer work.  Today UNOTelly have made a statement.

There have been reports recently that Netflix is actively trying to prevent their customers from accessing its service using geo-unlocking technology such as UnoDNS and UnoVPN. We have not noticed a rise in complaints that would suggest these reports are true. There has not been any change in our ability to unlock video streaming websites for our customers.

Our customers can continue to use our DNS and VPN services as normal. In an event that you experience a disruption in service, you can contact us and we will help you to quickly restore access.

UnoDNS services bypasses geo-blocks by providing customers with a local IP address when accessing these websites. Sign up for your free 8-day trial now.

It really is worth signing up for a free trial as you get a lot more than just accessing say USA Netflix content in the UK or whatever country you are in.  If you’ve ever had the message that content is not available in your country, even if it’s just trying to watch a video trailer or youtube clip you will know exactly how frustrating it can be.  Heck even hulu is accessible when you use Unotelly.

Even if you have  Netflix account it’s still worth paying the extra after the 8 day free trial to watch such greats as Orange is the New Black, Arrested Development, BoJack Horseman, Marco Polo (which is a swing and a miss by all accounts) and more Netflix Originals that are due in 2015;

“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”
“Bloodline”
“Daredevil”
“F is for Family”
“Grace and Frankie”
“Marseille”
“Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones”
“Narcos”
“Sense8”

Pre-Existing Netflix Originals Returning in 2015

UnoTelly, It’ll Still Work With Netflix Over VPN

“The Fall” Season 2 – January 16, 2015

“House of Cards” Season 3 – February 27, 2015

“Orange is the New Black” Season 3 – Summer (likely June) 2015

Now of course all this could be avoided if Netflix acted a little bit more like Top Gear
