From @Tim_cook. Welcome to the #iPad and @AppStore

Tim Cook, Apple’s head honch has sent out this tweet offering a genuine welcome to Microsoft for bringing Microsoft Office for iPad to the App store.  Is £100 a year a touch to steep to edit and share office documents however?

It’s not the first time someone at Apple has praised a competitor bringing their wares to the Apple platform.  Steve Jobs praised Office coming to the Mac, even if years later it became a shell of program and let’s not start on what a pain in the ass it is to uninstall.

The mobile platform war will be won by the first handset vendor who can go cross vendor, interpretational data sharing between handsets regardless of platforms.
