Originally we were on the look our for a cable to connect our office Electric Guitar which has been hung up on the wall for far to long, to our Macs. Mistakenly we purchased the Griffin Guitar Connect Cable for iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch not realising that it wouldn’t hook up to a Macbook or desktop yet it’s come in surprisingly useful thanks to Rock Prodigy

Guitar Hero ignited dreams for a lot of people, including myself, of being a rock god. The truth was far from it the game was a time sucker making me realise that If I spent as much time with a real guitar as I did with the game then perhaps I could actually rock out in the real world. Turns out Guitar hero does nothing to help potential axe men realise their dreams. That is until Rock Prodigy came along
Use it to learn guitar and songs faster than ever. Follow the Rock Prodigy lesson plan to take you from beginner to pro.
After installing the iPad application and connecting your guitar, step one is the issue of tuning. Not a problem with the built in tuner that supports standard tuning and other styles as you progress. Jumping into the quick start / lesson, a teacher’s voice will then start to guide you throughout the lessons. Just like Guitar Hero, you have to pluck the right note on the right string whilst keeping time.

Show opens up with a more subtle intro than that of it’s main competitor, less noise and perhaps gaudiness which can be a little bombarding on the Gadget Show. Here we go with a quick meet the team.
The reviewers are

JetPack Joyride, quite simply put is almost the most fun you can have using a single digit and with a lead character called Barry, why are you still reading this and not downloading it right now? Gameplay is beyond simple and yet utterly compelling. Barry Steakfries is propelled into the sky with his machine gun get pack in a perpetually side scrolling affair with a simple aim of getting to the end… if there is one.

Samsung are set to announce their “Swipeit” android product at this years CES. Swipeit is an Android app that allows and Samsung Internet and Swipeit enabled tv’s to show the content from your phone, on the larger screen. Does this sound familiar?
I’m loving the name Swipeit as that’s what they tend to do with Apple product design but now it seems airplay.
While SwipeIt works exactly like the Apple’s AirPlay, there are some significant differences:
Doesn’t this look familiar, can’t possibly think where I’ve seen this before..

More after the jump.

According to a somewhat vauge report at Bloomberg, iPhone 4s phone users consume double the data of iPhone 4 users thanks, mainly, to Siri.
Network analyst Arieso claims that the voice navigation software could see users incur significantly higher bills, and mobile networks struggle with the volume of data being transmitted.
Arieso reached the conclusion after analysing the data usage of one million smartphone owners on an unnamed European network.
